Mike Dairon played left wing for the Stampede during the 1998-99 season, appearing in all 69 games and finishing with 29 goals, 36 assists, and 65 points — a strong offensive contribution in the year the club scored a franchise-high 286 goals. He added 66 penalty minutes, reflecting a physical edge alongside his offensive production.
Dairon showed up in big moments throughout the season. He scored and added an assist in the 6-1 New Year's Eve win over the Russian touring side, and he chipped in a goal during the Stampede's 6-3 road win in Amarillo. At one mid-season stretch, he posted six points in three games, drawing mention alongside Gerald Tallaire and Josh Boni as one of the Stampede's hotter producers. The 1998-99 Stampede qualified for a third straight playoff appearance, and Dairon was part of that push from start to finish.
