Jacques Mailhot was a right wing who brought size and an intimidating physical presence to the Stampede across three seasons and 94 games. His 575 career penalty minutes ranked among the most punishing totals in franchise history, and he led the team in PIM in each of his first two seasons — 247 in the inaugural 1996-97 campaign and 277 the following year. On offense he was most productive in 1997-98, posting career highs of 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points in 50 games as the Stampede finished 40-23-6. He was a crowd favorite from the start, and the team described him and Peter Zurba as returning fan favorites when both rejoined the roster for the 1999-2000 season after a year away. That final stint produced just 10 games and 51 PIM before his Stampede career concluded.
