Gerald Tallaire was the offensive engine of the Central Texas Stampede across two full seasons, accumulating 187 points in 135 games — the most productive stretch any Stampede skater put together in the club's history. In 1998-99, the left wing led the offense with 43 goals and 57 assists for an even 100 points as the team posted its highest goal total of any full season. By January 1999, he had climbed to sixth in overall WPHL scoring with 86 points, and after that season the Stampede placed him on their protected list alongside other top-ten point leaders.

In 1999-2000, Tallaire added 32 goals and 55 assists for 87 points on the league's best team, contributing to a Central Division championship run. His playoff contributions included a goal and two assists in a pivotal Game Three road win against Shreveport when the Stampede were down 2-0 in the series. A mid-season puck to the face in El Paso cost him significant playing time in one game, but he remained a fixture on the roster through both seasons and finished with 152 penalty minutes across his Stampede career.
