Dwayne Gylywoychuk was a defenseman who spent three seasons with the Stampede, appearing in 118 games and logging 154 penalty minutes. He played in the inaugural 1996-97 season under Bob Bourne, registered 40 games that year, and returned for the roster overhaul in 1997-98 before his most substantial contribution came in 1998-99, when he appeared in 57 games and earned an assist on a slap shot that opened a shootout victory over Austin.
