Craig Johnson was a left wing and team captain for the Central Texas Stampede during the franchise's final two seasons. Standing 6'4″ and listed at 235 pounds, he was a physical presence who accumulated 308 penalty minutes across 94 games — 254 of those coming in 1999-2000, when the Stampede posted the best record in the WPHL at 50-17-3. He contributed 21 points that season, including a tie-breaking goal against Waco in December 1999. He returned for the abbreviated 2000-01 season, adding 7 points in 31 games before being traded to Fort Worth.
