Brad Preston was a center who played one season with the Central Texas Stampede during their record-breaking 1999–2000 campaign. In 33 games, Preston scored 12 goals and added 16 assists for 28 points while maintaining just 18 penalty minutes. He was acquired from El Paso and contributed to the Stampede's divisional title, the franchise's only. Preston scored two goals in a 3–2 win over Fort Worth in mid-November.
